Easy to put together, instructions were easy- can’t imagine what it would be like with no drill, but it took us about 30-45 minutes to build. I thought the compartments underneath would be a bit bigger- they aren’t big enough for most books to fit unless the books are laying down. That’s kinda bummer and the only reason I’m stealing a star. Definitely won’t fit all of the books the way I wanted, but it shouldn’t be a problem to stack them underneath. Just won’t look as tidy.I was very excited for this because of how nice it looks and the “large” storage space for toys. I was wanting a toy box that wasn’t plastic and terrible colors. It’s functional and I guess it will just be a good way to make sure we don’t keep toys around and we cycle through them.I give the assembly 2 stars because you have to email them in order to get the instructions and they take 24-72 hours to reply. They should just put it in the box or a link when you order it if they want to save paper. The extra step is a hassle and could be much better managed by the company.This bookcase is amazing overall, great value for what you pay for. Do be mindful the drawer is not on a track, the drawer is set on wheels by itself which is beneficial but you may need to secure the bookshelf if you have a climber. As i said though, the bookcase is amazing and there are a lot of benefits for the drawer being able to swing out separately hence why it still got 5 stars.Great product, my niece loves it! Customer service was amazing, attentive and resolved any issues quickly!I'm certain the people who are complaining that this is hard to put together have probably never held a screwdriver in their life. My husband put it together in 20min. Very nice little bookshelf. Only complaint is that it is top heavy so you'd definitely need to secure it to the wall. A tad wobbly on carpet.Perfect size for my babies nursery & was very easy to assemble. Says it takes about an hour to build but only took about 45min or so.
