These five books are terrific! They drew me in from the first words and kept me going from book to book to book. The Thoenes have really done their homework and the historical research was really educational. The characters were wonderfully three dimensional and multi-faceted. These books tell the story of the fight of Isreal to become a nation from individuals and mixes real people amid the fictional characters. The struggles and turmoil, as well as the tears, blood and sweat are all so very real that you feel it right along with the characters.I'd highly recommend these books to anyone who likes historical fiction.
