This book, the third in a series of three which are an English version of an extensive Italian edition of the Odyssey published in the 1980s, is invaluable for any advanced study of the Greek text. Five stars for the book, which is a contribution to our culture; one star for the pricing, which is a crime against it. It's incomprehensible to me how such an institution as OUP could decide to do the single thing most in their power to do to make access to the study of Homer impossible for proverbially poor students and scholars. They should be ashamed of themselves.
